Apologies for the INSANE difficulty! Even I have trouble actually catching a fish and I made the thing!
Which part of the controls were unresponsive? Just the slack?
Slack definitely shouldn't be doing that, in the code it just allows the fish to move at half speed and reduces the line tension quickly, I'll look into it anyway!
I'm not sure if I mentioned it in the tutorial, but tension does increase passively and if you ever hit the WRONG BUTTON, tension does jump pretty dramatically. I think I had it set to like an additional 8-12% tension increase for each time you don't match the prompt(pretty brutal in hindsight), so it's possible maybe tension snapped if either your finger slipped and maybe pressed X(I never programmed a way to ignore other buttons that aren't used in the game) or you pressed it just at the split second the prompt switched?
Like I said I'll look into it, but I don't want to edit the game during the rating period so maybe afterwards! Just a prototype after all.
