nice work. for Trenchbroom mapping, is it possible to use custom textures that don't adhere to the Quake palette, and can they be .png? 
looking for a way to quickly make levels that can be exported to blender and Godot with func_godot. ty!

Trenchbroom does not care about the color palette. You can use any texture and they can be .png.

All the example images you see on this page are done exactly the way you described. The level is made in trenchbroom and then incorporated into godot via func_godot.
