Hey, I ran this at my local game club and I generally really enjoyed it!

I wondered a few things, based purely on what my players fed back.

  • Are conditions meant to do anything in particular? Are there a certain number you should take before the PC dies altogether, a la Blades in the Dark?
  • Are the PCs meant to have knowledge of what/who Dracula is?  I suppose this is one thing you can discuss and decide as a table.
  • I noticed there were some stats where my players rolled a one, meaning it was impossible for them to make certain rolls. We had to homebrew a mechanic of "if you get a 1, meets it beats it, it'll be a success with a consequence". I was wondering if an array of stats i.e., 5/4/3/2, would work instead of rolling.

All in all we had fun and I'd recommend folks give it a try.

Hey! The basic answer to all of these questions is to follow your instincts as a DM. Your ideas would all be acceptable to me if I was playing in a game you were running. I didn’t want to overwrite the rules because this game survives on flexibility between the players and the dm.
