That's great news!... But 

If I may be blunt and ask, why a lighter version? Is it due to technical limitations or is it to keep the patreon sub more appealing?

Good question!

Patreon support is what allows us to keep developing our games full-time, so we do keep some exclusive content there as a way to thank our supporters 🙂

The itch.io version would likely be a lighter version so more people can discover the game, while Patreon helps us continue expanding it with more content and updates

I understand it is difficult for small developers and I'd love to support you (more than just purchasing your games, which should actually be enough), but let's be real: in this economic climate, it's too much and subscription fatigue is real.
