I think there's potential here for a good game, the opening section certainly did have good atmosphere, with the misty forest and you coming across the dead bodies, the security cameras on the trees seemingly watching your every move etc. But once the killer shows up, it just takes him to spot you one time to trigger a chase, and it seems to be almost impossible to shake him off your trail. I've managed to do it only once and I still can't tell how (with the chase restarting soon after anyway).
The easter eggs are fine to collect, but collecting the notes is very difficult while being chased, as you seem to need to align the camera at a specific angle and be at a specific distance to even get the interact prompt. And time doesn't pause while you are reading a note, so not something you can really afford to do while being chased.
There's also a friendly NPC next to some building that you can talk to. It seems like you are meant to come across her during the opening section of the game, but she is still there even after the killer shows up. And talking to her doesn't stop time and if you talk to her while running from the killer, you just get stuck in the dialogue while running forward uncontrollably. It would be for the best to make it so you either can't talk to her while chased or just have her disappear once the killer shows up.
I also discovered that you can just walk on the water surrounding the island, which I doubt is intended. The killer can even chase you there, all the way to the edge of the map.
Overall, these are just the signs of an unfinished, work-in-progress game, which is absolutely fine for a test jam project. There are certainly good ideas here and the overall graphical style and sound design are fine. The game just needs more polish overall. Keep making games and I'm sure your next ones will be much better!
