This was somehow both more and less traumatising than I imagined 😭 not sure yet if it's good or bad that they blazed through the Trials as easily as the puzzles, but it definitely keeps the breakneck pacing intact!
(Never felt more in line with Aubrey than in this chapter. Yeah that's awful that happened to you but you still suck and this group hug is cringe 😬)

I tend to find action scenes tedious, both reading and writing. An ideal SotP would have fun, in-depth "Trials" as well! But I don't think *I'm* able to write that. If I tried, it'd probably come out clunky and awkward, and bring the experience down more than the skimming method I did go with. Maybe it wouldn't have! But that's the call I made about it, as a solo writer doing a passion project
