oh no it’s not that I can’t use the Arachne, but the avatar doesn’t show up after selecting it, it just shows human. And I’ll try to go to the class selector again and see if I can get them back, otherwise I’ll share the save file
ok i found the problem. after i got the arachnid form, my class was changed to traveler, instead of adventurer that ive been using since the start. now it makes sense why every single enemy seemed to have been turned to hard difficulty. its a bit hard to see which class youre using if you dont know the names, but at least now ive found the problem
im the type of player that hates losing any stats so i never change equipment. so im using the ceremonial blade, the same as ive used since i got it. and just to confirm it. youre not supposed to change classes after equiping a new weapon, right? since in the cave i think i tested a few weapons but changed back after, which is when i noticed that my skills were gone
I just finishes looking through the quest and could not find anything that would forcible changed the class in the Arachne Story. The ceremonial blade also has a listing id. So I am not quite sure what caused this.
Yes, the weapon class needs to be changed at the shop in town. Equipping any weapon not matching in the right class will result in no usable skills. That's how it should work.
The game saves your equipped weapon before any transformation happens. And returns it to you after changing back into human form. But it does not change the class you are having selected.
So maybe your saved weapon id was outdated and at the end of the quest the game gave you the previously saved weapon? That's the best I could come up with.
