For brambles filled cavern, I prefer to see these kind of enemies:
1. Static spiky plants
2. Flying bugs
3. Shooting plants
4. Medium sized herbivores
As for bosses, these would do great:
1. Giant beetle
2. Giant spiky flower
3. Giant spiky bug
