Can AI be used?

Is it allowed to use AI tools for this game jam?

yes but I don't think in code...

You can use AI, however all it would do is make your game look cheap, and turn some people away from playing it. You would definitely be better of making your own assets.

I don't think using AI for image generation or text refinement will make the game feel 'cheap.' In fact, it’ll probably turn out better than my own creative skills.

Jam Host(+1)

AI has become a part of many commonly used tools/apps, for things as small as removing background noise from audio to completely generating assets from scratch, and so we won't discourage people from using AI in their games.

Though we do require people to have the legal right to use all of the assets in their game, and we will be putting extra scrutiny on games that make it in front of the judges.

So AI is allowed to be used in the jam, but if you don't have the right to use the assets in your game, you will not be eligible to win a prize from the judges.
