If you just start new game or load another save, is it fine? Try checking if when you right click the saves folder it has a checkbox to "unblock", otherwise it could be the file somehow got corrupted. Another thing, when you say, previous save... from when?

I don't get any option to "unblock" when I do so, but I did add itch.io and all program files related (mainly this game's files" to bypass my antivirus security halts. Also the problem is loading any save file, from new to old one's (that includes saved games I create to this date).

Hmm that's really weird to happen, but the save folder might have gotten corrupted. Go ahead and delete the save folder as well as the game folder, download again and start a new game.

Pass a couple of in game days, save, close and reopen, then try to load, see if it still gets stuck.
