What is the Multiverse Pod for? I Tryd it with a save and, i still did not understand what exactly it is and why i need to do it from a quest. (Im thinking of sending it empty to finish the quest)

it is only a mechanism that allows you to store some items from your cargo so you can pick them up when you start a new game in a late version.
Since I implemented safe game compatibility, it isn't strictly necessary, but I left it in for those players who want to replay the game often and want to have a quicker start
