There are a lot of games that allows players to swap builds at will, but swapping before every battle is a hassle that most players dont want to go through. Its better to have a general main build for comfort.

I use both Wind Cutter and Gust Cutter, spamming them with the help of Incantation Headband. I don't use any big attack like Shield Crush, because I find it takes too long to get going when most regular enemies are already dead by then, though I get how Shield Crush is more effective against the boss battles.
