Could you describe what happened in a little more detail? Have you played using Steam Remote Play Together or a similar system?
We don't have online multiplayer—only local multiplayer on a single device, and the second player will need a gamepad, even if you're using Remote Play

We didn’t use a controller, that’s why it didn’t work at all! We tried Steam with remote play. Thank you for the advice!
Now it works with a keyboard and a controller but the thing is, late game, there’s some bugs, it freezes and then the game goes faster and freezes again for the person with the controller.
Is there a way to play with two keyboards?

Unfortunately, it won't work with two keyboards; the only way might be to use special software that tricks the system into thinking you have a controller instead of a keyboard. But you can play with two gamepads! —that was actually the original plan, in fact.
