Thank you so much for the in depth review and the nice words and for putting in that much time to understand the game. You're spot on there with the balance issues and why I didn't make the tiles removable, big decisions like building projects and policy changes are very difficult to reverse and that's the idea that I wanted to bring across. 
I've made an early decision to use Godot for all my game development because it's open source, but also because the fact that it's not as advanced as Unity or Unreal makes it actually very easy to learn and grow personally with the Godot engine. 
My high score is around 12k, but that's only because I know exactly how to win :D the game ended up being more difficult then I meant to make it though

You are 100% right on the learning curve of Godot! Personal fact, I won my first game jam with a game made in Godot 4 :D.
