Thanks, I also think it can be made much better with not too much additional work

I liked the idea of the game, procedural generation is quite difficult to get right so good job on that, the sound and music fit well into the game. There is a bug where if I click space during the forest/industry dialog then the character would jump immediately after the decision, which caused me to die a couple of times because I was already timing my jump to the next platform, but then the choice would come up earlier on that platform but I pressed space anyway because I couldn't react in time. The UI can be improved, but I really liked the backgrounds

A very well made game, the little animations sprinkled all around are delightful. It's a simple puzzle game but and maybe that was what your were going for, it seems there is no fail condition or I didn't get it, that would give the game a bit more replayability and I would suggest that digging a new canal doesn't need a click on the previous, the player can just click the adjacent tiles. It even has a save game which I didn't even think about in my game :D music and sound effects are spot on as well. Overall I really enjoyed playing this game, great job

Thank you so much for the in depth review and the nice words and for putting in that much time to understand the game. You're spot on there with the balance issues and why I didn't make the tiles removable, big decisions like building projects and policy changes are very difficult to reverse and that's the idea that I wanted to bring across.
I've made an early decision to use Godot for all my game development because it's open source, but also because the fact that it's not as advanced as Unity or Unreal makes it actually very easy to learn and grow personally with the Godot engine.
My high score is around 12k, but that's only because I know exactly how to win :D the game ended up being more difficult then I meant to make it though

Really liked the gameplay, after I understood that it works better with clicking instead of holding the mouse button. Had a nice moment when there were a few plants growing in the same direction and it felt like I have some green friends taking a walk together. I love the procedural generation

Very interesting idea with the planting mechanic, good controls and pretty flowers. But I unfortunately got in a doom scenario where I fell into a pit and didn't have the genes to plant enough to jump out, maybe that bar could slowly auto regenerate up to 30% or something like that

Very nice presentation, artwork and music, but I did not bet the ending, we get more understanding, so now there are even more unanswered questions about the outside world

It's cute to be watching those little people walking around attending farms and going about their day. The music is a really nice fit. I had troubles figuring out how the water level affected the game, seems like it doesn't mean anything if it reaches 0, and I would expect the rain to be raising the water stat more, otherwise I don't see how the rain changes things. I loved the simple aesthetics and the sound effects as well.

Really liked the graphics, it looks so cozy and pretty. It would be really helpful to have some instructions at the start, because it took me a while until I understood how to water and fertilise  the plant, also is it possible to harvest the plants?

Quite a fun game, it's compelling to try to be smart about the path of the blade will saw through to avoid young trees and gather as many resources as needed.

I really liked the music it fits the game very well because it's intense and you need to think under pressure, but I was just a bit jump scared the the first time is started, maybe a volume fade in would make it much nicer, or even changing the volume/tempo based on the number of stars or the "health" of the forest. One more thing would be pacing, I found myself waiting quite a bit around the middle of the game because I had quite a few trees stockpilled and the quests would immediately complete as they came.

Really pretty trees though

Thank you! I'm super glad you took the time to understand the balance, I know it needs a lot of work

Thank you for the feedback
There is no way to remove the tiles, but you can upgrade them with the production resource, it's a good idea to focus early on stockpiling a bit of production and using that to upgrade the starting tiles

Uff, didn't wan't you to have such a bleak experience,  sorry about that, the game balance needs a lot of work....
