The system is something I've been working on for a little while, with a number of concepts / settings in mind. I have a bad habit of over writing, so when I saw the LGZJam I was inspired to see how streamlined I could make it while still being legible. Glad that the attempt was successful over all, and I definitely agree about where it's weaker points are. Going to be keeping all this in mind as I flesh it out in other projects.
