I don't understand how to fight bosses.

Let's say I choose 6 heroes for the expedition. That means I roll the die 6 times beforehand — this is the pool of values I will assign to checks. I need to go through as many events as the number of heroes I took, which is 6.

I go through 5 events, spending 5 dice. I have 1 die left. The last event is replaced by a boss. To defeat the boss, I need to pass TWO checks, but I have only ONE die left. What do I do? And how many heroes fight the boss at the same time?

Wow I’m sorry I didn’t see this! The main way would be to conserve a die from the other events (potentially purposefully failing them depending on the difficulty and your upgrades). Kay brought up an alt rule of rolling a # of dice dependant on the tier of the characters, so 1 dice for each tier 1 but 2 dice for the tier 2 and 3 for the tier 3. Two characters can fight the boss at the same time.
