wow this one threw me for a loop. i recognized the alternating terrain types from one of the earlier sketches so i knew instantly what’s going on there, and did a bit of work at the beginning to weigh the risk-reward. then from there i started exploring, and discovered several locations before actually hitting one that allowed me to make some sort of progress. i think i got a bit unlucky, but two things that compounded the frustration a bit were:
-
the way the terrain is structured (probably on purpose) makes it really hard to draw a mental map of it. so i had a desperate thought at the back of my head that when i restart the game i probably won’t be able to trace back my steps to the location i need
-
even when playing it safe and sticking to the grass i had several instances where the slimes would dodge 3 - 4 of my attacks in a row, really draining my resources
overall i really like the concept here though, just like with all the other sketches! i think i keep getting a bit unlucky in my playthroughs of the recent ones though!
