Interesting choice with Phrygian, by default it will give a bit of a omninous vibe, I like the first track a lot more, just have to watch out with the mids/lows frequency spectrum its hanging there for too long. Same for 2nd track, there is a lots of low end staying there for too long, I think just some change of dynamics will help tremendously the overall arrangement of the track, but for pure ambient vibe it works very well, I like that it doesn't sound like anything else that is too generic, it really is its own thing.
