I suppose I'm at a deadlock here. Business practice principles, I do think the upgraded copy should go to those who already purchased, and the price raised appropriately for future purchases by those who have not already done so. On the other hand, yes this shit takes a toll and time and effort. Even my shitty plain text experiments can be draining. It's understandable to want a fair reward.
