Regarding the Kuroonist Stream

just wanted to share my thoughts about loa's first stream showing.

First though I wanna address the things I really liked

  • He was friendly with the dev
  • He admitted the game's genre was out of his element (he plays mainly serious games)
  • He was friendly all the way through and respectful to the developer which is always a pro
  • He said that the game wasn't his cup of tea but didn't tank the reviews with a 1 or a 2 based on preference which as a fan and friend of the dev I appreciate.

But there were things I didn't like too. Mainly just.

  • His reading of the game didn't do it justice, a comedy like this lives and dies by timing and seeing the pacing and misreading of lines kinda hurt. Since they're way funnier when you read them yourself.
  • He missed content, this isn't his fault but he missed my favorite part of the game so I'm gonna mention it. Ruby my goat.
  • He called the characters basic and said it didnt make sense. I agree to an extent since rtp is rtp but these characters by rtp standards are really great. And the writing is amazing.

In the end I'm just ranting a little but still, seeing my favorite rpg maker game like this makes me sad is all.

I still think this is my favorite rpg maker cast of all time tho. Actually scratch that. My favorite game cast of all time. Except Keito. Fuck keito (jk ily)

Am I drunk posting? Yeah. But quas isnt gon a stop me so autocorrect take the wheel.

He was nice tho. Seemed chill

Kuro was super nice, the game just wasn't his cup of tea is all! In the end we got a really talented fan artist and a bunch of bugfixes out of it which is a win in my book

I was just lurking itch after and I found myself back here cause itch’s “Recommended for you” tab had Legacy of Aeon ( and more connections). I don’t know why you got a negative on your review of me, your opinion is subjective and you’re right to say what you want about me.

I do want to point out, just like book publishing it is kinda of same way sending your game to the right person/ publisher. Cause there are many editors and publishing houses out there with Directories that come out every year or so where you can find the right person to send your novels based on the genre, and streaming can be the same way.

lastly I found if the game is funnier than me I have a hard time trying to inject my bland comedy into the plot, which makes it the right game for more serious people.

hope this helps

Oh I downvoted that post in the first place because I thought shooting the shit with you in the stream was actually a lot of fun! I look forward to doing it again. No need to listen to people who might have their own personal taste in streams that watched just for the fact it had their favorite game on it. You were great!

Also don't worry about this person getting offended. all jokes aside this is a person I know IRL. Definitely no way she's getting offended at anything short of a punch to the face.
