There is a known issue with Macs and itch.io downloads. In order to get the Mac version to play, many Macs require the user to have the itch.io app installed. Otherwise, we recommend simply playing the browser version, which should work without the app, and without downloading. Hopefully this helps, and apologies for the inconvenience!
