I wouldn't focus too much on the parents but small things like what jobs they had and passions when it feels appropriate to bring them up for the main character.
I might add some more MC lore in the future. As for now, I hope v0.1.3 is much better then the average experience with chapter 1 (v0.1.2). Thank you for your input. Sure has been helpful!
