I forgot to mention: I have realized that many people in the indie game community are strongly against AI generated content of any kind, and I respect that. I was never going to use AI to make any art/sound/etc assets, only for coding. But I have now decided that all my code will be 100% hand-written by me. I might use AI only for code analysis and to help me learn, the way I would ask a fellow programmer, but it will not make any decisions for me, or ever touch a line of code in this game, or my Cortex Engine. This is my current thinking, let me know if you guys have any thoughts on this topic.
