Unfortunately, the player speed was intentional. The player is linearly the same speed as enemies- but unlike the enemies, you go faster when going diagonally, so you can kite them (it’s just not fun with the controls i set hahaha)! I wanted to make it tough (a) in the tradition of Rogue and (b) to make up for the lack of content in the limited time.
I appreciate you giving the game a try and leaving your thoughts! I’m still taking notes on this one post-jam for future games or if I come back to this, so i appreciate you taking the time:)
