Hey there, sorry you're finding it a bit confusing - it's a massive and complex game. There's a mini tutorial in the Adventure Mode - have you tried it yet? You can also download the game manual from the downloads here on itch: ROGUEFORT_GAME_MANUAL.pdf. I hope that helps.
