Fair point. The story mode keeps it gentle on purpose since it is more about the narrative than the challenge. The difficulty does pick up across the bands but it stays accessible. If you finish a playthrough, expert mode is where it gets real. No percentage bar, no safety net. You have to match the pattern by feel. Would genuinely love to hear if that scratches the itch.

i should not have to trudge through tedium to possibly find fun. you would lose nothing by allowing those options to be selected from the start. the fact that the story mode gameplay is so boring has been an active barrier to me playing it.
