I feel like I'm in a minority for saying this, but whenever Stan says something I'm kind of like "Don't boo him, he's right." Her mom and sister were both very warmongery. Her dad seemed alright, just along for the ride I guess. But silence in the face of oppressors and all that... I probably would've been on the side of rebellion. Although it still doesn't quite make sense how he could recognize MC is different but still intend to kill them... even after the explanation. I think that's always going to be a bit of a gap though.
