Right now, the Stock Market can still be very profitable, even after the nerfs from previous updates.
Because of this, the developers may continue adjusting the balance of these systems in future updates.
You can already see the beginning of this rebalancing in version 0.95.11, where the Streaming system was adjusted so that slow-mode no longer affects subscriber gains, and the way streaming income works was changed.
So yes, the developers are aware that some money-making methods can become very strong, and the current updates are likely the first steps toward a broader economy rebalance.
