You are absolutely right since currently, the game is in its basic stage. My vision for Gruesia is much broader than what you see now (although it will cost me too much):
Total freedom: I want to create a simulator that feels like an open world (think Fallout or Minecraft), where you can play unlimited sessions without time limitations, unlike victoria II for example.
Multiple game modes: I'm planning several ways to play, including an objective-based mode with specific missions and even a survival mode (I already have some zombie resources ready for that)
persistent worlds: I'm looking at making a future save system that allows these worlds to grow and evolve over time.
Currently, I'm testing the fundamentals: UI, resource math, and basic diplomacy. Your comments about the lack of objectives are perfect because they confirm that my next walk should focus on giving the player a very clear why. Besides, this is one of my first games that I do seriously, the rest has been learning. Now this is how you practice them.
Thanks for the honesty, it's exactly what an Alpha needs.
