Pretty neat, I like games like these. I see a gear in the top right, which usually indicates an options menu, but clicking the gear doesn't bring up a menu. As it is, I can't find a translation option.
I played through the first mission to try to figure it out, and eventually managed to win by having all of my units attack the enemy commander (I figured out that the unit with the star shape was an instant loss condition if it was killed). I also figured out what a few of the buildings do for other English-speaking players:
- 1: Fence: slows units that try to cross over it.
- 2: Couldn't figure it out by playing, but Yandex Translate says it is a hospital that heals soldiers stationed there
- 3: Tower, units in the tower will fire a ranged attack instead of melee
- 4: Barricade: Also slows units which try to cross it, like the fence. The translation site says defense is lower but speed decrease is stronger.
- 5: I also had to ask the translation site for this one. It increases defense somewhat and has a less powerful healing effect than the hospital.
There were a few things that I could not figure out:
- Is there a 'stance' system, so that I can order my units to hold their ground? As it is, when I try to put my units into a tower, they will sprint off to attack enemies.
- A lot of buildings provide defense, but most of the combat happens in melee range. Does the defense bonus just make all of the units in the fight take longer to kill? Wouldn't it not provide an advantage, in that case?
- I think the ideal strategy is to kite the enemy around with a fast unit while the rest of your army goes for the commander. Is that right? I could also see a player withdrawing units that are damaged to go heal at one of the medical buildings, but this seems difficult without being able to prevent them from re-engaging.
In any case, it looks cool!
