I just played your game, it's so fun to see someone else had pretty much the same idea :)

It's hard to find the right balance between guiding the player and not breaking the fourth wall, I hate it when games directly address the player "press space to jump". I feel like the very first tutorial level is enough insight to force you to learn to jump under the right conditions, I also added a flash of the associated colour for both run & jump actions, so the player knows they must find the colour orb to unlock them.

The sword is treated as a bonus really, you don't lose anything else getting hit by the red chromites, but they do become more aggressive so it's a double edged... sword.


Glad to hear that the German localisation is fine :P
