Nice game! I’m not usually a fan of story-driven games, but I love the details in this one. The windows, the desktop, the settings (even the shutdown XD), I could see how much effort went into all of it, nice work! I reached an ending where Alice gets transferred into a body. I guess there are more endings, but I’ll stick with this one as my true ending. Congrats on the entry! :D

Developer

Hey there,

There are two endings for this game in total, so it must be that you got the good one!
Thank you for checking our game ;)

So what about game: bob bob bob

I really like this game! Story is sad, i like the vibe of that all literally, i want more and less delay between the messages. But my game crashed when i randomly press RMB ;CCCC

Still with this problem - this game 10/10

Hello,

It's unfortunate that you experienced a bug like that. I don't think I ever got that one while testing.
Could you tell me what OS you were playing on

Regardless of that, thanks for checking out our game and I'm glad that you were able to enjoy it despite the encounter with an uninvited insect.

The story was great! The art style was ominous. Really well done, I had a great time.

Thank you for your kind words!

I loved the character art and the modeled environment was amazing!

The Windows computer stuff was also really really cool with how it still displayed the screen on the monitor when exploring the 3D environment.

I was in suspense for the whole thing and the droning noise in the background helped give that feeling excellently.

Even though I was just typing mostly and looking around the world I felt very engaged to the story and I find that impressive because I'm not usually a fan of that type of stuff.

The typing was a simple yet creative way to continue my dialogue, I think typing out each word felt way more interesting than if it was a simple dialogue button.

I also really loved the car minigame, I thought that was really fun and a great way to help keep me engaged.

Hi there!

Thanks for your comment.
We're glad that you enjoyed the game and liked the style we went for.
The idea for having the player to type came from a different game, I believe it was called "Left on Read" or something along those lines. I think that with a bit of polish this system can be made into a proper chat simulation

In each case, once again, thanks for checking out our game!

I really like the blocky realistic artstyle. Its like marathon but no colors. Awesome job in post processing and shader work. The post processing on the fps camera is really good, it makes the game feel very immersive even with minimal art. The doll model is also very well made. The conversations with alice feels really real. The only thing i didn't like is the sudden camera cut in the car game when switching path. It becomes really confusing when trying to avoid obstacles. Also I think the settings menu's wire art is broken. The wires looks weird on my screen. However, you nailed the horror feeling and overall aesthetic unlike my game.

Thanks for playing the game and for the feed back.

Your game look like it took lot of polishing to get the aesthetic and game play feel just right.  The conversation style remind me of needy girl overdose but in male version lol . I leaved a review in your game as well :)

Heads up, there is a bug if you open the settings window and do that stuff before you are meant to

Developer

Hi ,Thank you for playing our game.
Does This bug completely crash the game ?

Submitted

Not a crash, it seems like a hard lock. Basically when the game asked me to do it, since I had already done it, I was not able to progress at that point. I did try multiple things (such as like sort of re-doing it to the best my memory and clicking around and stuff) but I couldn't get it to resolve itself

Developer (1 edit)

It's randomly assigned every time you finish the puzzle . You have to guess it again like the first time like you did it . Hope this help

Submitted

Gotcha, thanks. It just kept saying "all systems stable" or something like that, so I didn't have a way to see when I got a valid connection. Basically I opened the settings window and did it as soon as the game started so i am guessing I just triggered it way too early lol

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

If you connect all nodes then press check stability it will turn the stability count from 4 to 0  . so you don't have to restart the  game. Yes it seems the text is bit confusing. sorry

understood, thanks!
