It does give a pokémon battle vibe, especially the intro, and has a good sense of energy. There is a lot of dissonance between the melody, bass, and chords, in my opinion it's a bit too disorienting for a battle theme versus a more heinous place like Silph Co. The bass in particular seems like it's transitioning on its own terms instead of lining up with the phrasing in the melody.
