The game right now is focused on having a functioning online multiplayer. When you create a steam lobby, someone else will be able to join your game in the lobby browser or lobby ID direct connection with your lobby ID at the bottom of the screen. Due to the complex nature of the minigames it may be a while before bot minigame AI is fully implemented, however, it is a priority.
All the bots look identical, but the game also has a customization feature with a few items and colors, so your character should stick out using this if the feature did not also have a bug.
Hopefully you'll be able to play some minigames once the AI is implemented and I appreciate you giving the game a try.
