If you're playing on Windows/Mac — you can safely delete the old game folder, download and unpack the new one, and play. Saves are stored in AppData and will be automatically found by the new version.
If you're playing on Android — don't delete the old version, download the new one, run the downloaded file, and choose the "update" option in the window that appears.
