What if we don't want the STEAM key and DRM of STEAM when playing? I would buy but I DO NOT want any oversight of my game play and I can tell you, Valve (STEAM) takes great pleasure in spying on their users. And. As 2 faced as they are about AVN games and adult content I do not trust them at all. No one should.
So. Is there a "Non-STEAM" version that does NOT require STEAM Client support to play?
Thank you. With all the recent hype for STEAM game support despite their two faced view of AVNs as well as any other games with lewd content I just cannot justify supporting STEAM client dependancy and all the loss of privacy I have seen happening on STEAM for the past several years. Add "Big Brother is Watching" to that and it turns 100% negative in my book. Even if their green light program helps get AVNs produced all it will take is a shift in the wind and all AVN developers and your followers on STEAM will be out of luck.
I forgot one more question. If I buy the game here and DO NOT use the STEAM key will I still get updates for the game in the future with no need to purchase again?
And yes, i do fear the current state of things, at least steam kept my game up and advertised, not sure if things changed here on itch, but when all that happened this year, i was delisted here on itch.
If things get worse, and i get delisted from steam, i dont know what i will do, because thats 90% of my income from this game.
Sounds like the bias against adult material and fetishes continues to be 2 faced. I recommend checking out GOG if you want to keep it available as well as any future games you develope and release. So far it appears their AVN selection is doing well and growing consistantly. Including full multi=season releases of various games that are relationship adjustable by the player. Many include WTM and MTM (Play mods) and ALL with NO DRM or Client dependancies. I have purchased several AVNs from GOG myself due to this. If you get it on there it WILL sell. If you can get the modder that makes the WTM/MTM mod for the game to keep updated versions in production and provide them to GOG that is even better. Many of the AVNs they offer include WT, WTM, and MTM added downloads from Free (Included with game deals) and small fees from $1.99 to $4.99 for the WT or Mod.. Just my 2 bits.. I really like your game and want to see it succeed but funds are limited for me on my fixed disability income so I make due as I can. I am looking forward to more of Thirty Days and anxious to see where you go from there.
