I have to agree with your concerns.

I personally have decided against backing the Kickstarter, because of the price.

I'm sure there's careful consideration that went into their pricing, however you're very much correct with it being on the higher side. Indie projects I've backed with similar scopes are all around the 15 USD mark and to find out this game's full price will be three times as much, was quite shocking.

A higher price not only comes with less people willing to give it a try, but also much more scrutiny.

Nonetheless I wish them lots of success and hope they'll be able to create more games :D

Thanks for the feedback, you two! Note that the prices on the page are not in USD, they are in SGD.

We do admit it is on the higher side of the indie otome game side. The reasoning behind it is that we want to create an otome game that has almost equal content and quality as a commercial game created by professional studios, with longer length than typical otomes that worth 49 USD (also, we actually do have voice-acting planned in stretch goals)

But you're right, perhaps the price deters players from backing us, and the reality is that we are not an AA game studio. It is an ambitious project and an ambitious price, so it seems that I have to rethink its scope for the future. I really appreciate the feedback- will take note of this and plan better next time!
