Tl;Dr, there's potential but the game needs a metric ton of quality of life changes.

Very buggy and unbalanced. Art is fine enough; can't really judge after only seeing some sprites and one assgrab.

Going to an area might not load the UI elements correctly, meaning you get stuck inside a room with no way to interact with anything except the menu button on the upper left and the hide UI button on the lower right.

"Normal" difficulty is not something you can do when starting the game, at least. First combat in the university kills you on normal; unavoidable due to the amount of damage enemies do versus the amount of damage your whole group does. Needs to be changed so the main character is not the only one taking the damage; spread it to the others as well and make it so the MC going down doesn't mean failure for the battle.

Battle UI and UI in general is clunky. The tooltips for skills in combat appear very late and often first show the last skill you looked at, not the one you want to see. There is no feel to anything when you click on things and no visual or auditory cues that you've clicked something. This is not helped by the fact that enemy combat actions go so sloooooow that you're always not sure if the game registered your input and try to click "End turn" again only to see the enemy start doing their thing after about 10-15 second wait.

Dialogue is... it exists. There's a lot of awkward conversation with a fairly unresponsive-feeling dialogue box. Normally I click the dialogue box to make the text just fill in instantly; I hate scrolling text. Unfortunately in this game if I do that, much of the time it skips to the next part of dialogue without actually loading in the old dialogue, meaning I lose context. Only way to avoid this is to just wait for the dialogue to sloooooowly load.
The dialogue itself isn't really worth mentioning. It exists, there's lots of filler talk that would probably be normal for real life but is chaff in any game setting. Imagine reading two people talk about weather, thats how it feels.

Me and you playing the same game? The art is downright immersion, first loaded into the game and boom it really felt like a different style of world, the first fight gave you trouble? Oh buddy your teammates aren't there to take hits for you they give you different abilities to use. I mean i guess normal difficulty is challenging sometimes, but isn't that the point? But go buy some potions first you can find a merchant if you explore. Mmh slow loading time? Could you share the specs of the device you're using for comparison. No visual or audio cues when using the abilities? Mmh normally a sound and visual effect should play on use. Honestly I do understand the dialog part I also clicked to load all the dialog at once and skipped too many times to admit.

What room are you getting stuck in?
