The rhythm definitely screams pokemon, it gives the track that iconic energy. However, I don't think doubling the bass a two octaves is a good idea, especially since it's an abrasive square wave, I'd breaking up the bass into a running line kind of how you did with the B section. That would also give that intro less empty space, especially since there's no percussion during that part. Overall I'd give more focus to the melody and less and the chords, they kind of have a similar thing going on so they blend together, maybe the melody could hold some notes out longer rather than short staccatos each time. Also I didn't really hear the Phrygian sound, to me this sounds d minor, I didn't hear any Eb, that would be a cool note to add in the melody somewhere before hitting the main tonic chord again. But this has potential, keep writing!
