Lovely art!! It's very pleasing to look at, and I like the layering effect that gives it depth :D It took me a moment to realise I needed to scroll down, but in hindsight the arrow was pointing down so that was my fault I think :p
I will say it's a bit difficult to play with a trackpad in terms of right-clicking. It's a bit fiddly and becomes tiring, and multiple times I've accidentally left-clicked instead and lost >.< If I may suggest an alternative way to move the screen, e.g. arrow/wasd keys, scrolling, or holding down space then clicking and dragging?
Regardless though it is a fun game and again, very lovely art, it really has a very rich atmosphere to it <3
Edit: I think I beat the game! :D (Or died at the last second, not entirely sure, I'll consider it a win :3)
I like how the longer I played the more I noticed, like how the yellow beetles are slower and easier to capture. But I kept getting the feeling the scarabs knew when they were encircled, but when I paid attention they didn't react, took me a minute to realise it was only the yellow ones that notice!! I love that each type of scarab has their own strengths, the blue ones are faster but the yellow ones are more aware. I also realised a bit after that that the yellows actually speed up when going for your line, and move noticeably faster than their normal walking speed! Love details like this :D
