This was fun. I have played something similar before and I do enjoy these types of games.

One small suggestion: it felt a bit frustrating that I could not change colour again after switching once mid jump. I might have misunderstood the intent, but it did not feel like a necessary restriction from my perspective, and it sometimes broke the flow.

The sounds and music are good and fit the game, though they felt slightly over-tuned at times. Dialing them back just a touch might help everything breathe a bit more.

I also see the design instinct behind having a clear fail state, which I appreciate. That said, it occasionally felt a bit too punishing. Memory based games are already competing for a player’s attention, and a little more forgiveness can go a long way in keeping people engaged and motivated to try again.

Overall though, I had a good time with it and I think with a few small tweaks it could feel even better.

I understand, I'm going to try to apply this function of changing colors while the player is in the air.

It's only been a week since I've been learning how to use Gamemaker so I decided to apply simple mechanics, but as I want to evolve further I'm going to continue working with this project.

Regarding the issue of frustration, it was good that you made me aware of this, I don't have friends who can test the game for me, and as I'm always testing the game and programming, I end up finding it very easy after a while.

That said, thank you very much for the review, I really am learning a lot from comments like yours.

Very impressive for a week of learning dude, you've got a full game here pretty much, more than most end up doing! You'll go far if you keep it up.
