You must use the versions of Renpy Plugin and Joiplay instructied. From the “How to play on Android”:
Download Joiplay 7.7.1 and the Ren’py plugins,
Although I have read from discussions on Discorc that Joiplay can be latest released version but the Renpy plugin must be 7.7.1.
