We had a lot of fun playing this game duet! What lovely prompt tables, all fruitful. Our young apprentices had very different relationships with the wizard, and were mostly concerned with their own dreams and insecurities, while we the players revealed more and more tantalising snippets of the world. At the end we compared theories (maybe drawing from half-remembered mechanics from For the Other City): was the reverse tower they looked into through the basement trapdoor a portal to a mirror world with mirror apprentices our wizard was visiting, or a mushroom-like growth downward to ensure both of us would have our own tower once the wizard was gone? Had the wizard consumed their reflection, or replaced it, or simply awakened it? How had the town betrayed them all those years ago?

We had loads of fun and I would love to play this game again :) I kind of wish there was a game to jump into years after the conclusion of the first to see what happens... We played online using losing.games' card draw tool and just redrew aces until our 1.5 hour playtime was done (alas there's no option for shuffling the ace into a specific part of the deck in that tool). Thank you for writing!
