This was very nice! I was surprised my how much fun I had playing an already existing and very well defined type of game! The juicyness was definetly the winner here and I could say the same about Super Cute Slime Attack!

The leaderboard is also always a plus in game jams since it connects the community so well (Don't ask me about my score! I'm working on it)

If I were to give and adivice though I would defintly recommend for you guys to look at some design and artistic fundamentals (and I'm not talking only about illustration). There's so much creativity and style here, taking some time to learn this kinda stuff can be a little difficult or boring but it would definetly up it all by a hundred! There's no problem going for some simple ui and that's also just kinda of recommended for a jam, but I missed stuff like just having some different in theme font for the entire project or a in game score with some better contrast with the background.

Ka & Mi from nowhere cuisine say: "The gnomes are so kwaii! It's a shame they keep on taking Ka & Mi sooks all the time. Ka & Mi will maybe play just a few more times before returning to saving the universe ~"

Thanks for checking out Slime Attack, lol! I expected no one to ever play that again.

Super appreciate the compliments, and honestly, even more the critical feedback. I 100% agree with you. That kind of design/presentation polish (fonts, UI contrast, readability) really does make a game feel way more finished, even if the gameplay is already fun.

This was my 3rd game jam, so a lot of my time still goes into just getting the gameplay working. As I get faster, I want to leave more room for the finer stuff like UI and overall presentation. Your comment was a good reminder that it matters, so I’m definitely going to scope better next time to make time for it. Thanks again for that note :)

And thanks for stopping by, Ka & Mi lol. I get it, saving the universe comes first. But if you see any socks floating around out there… feel free to drop them off on your way through.
