Agate Gragon Snake is fun game, and I like the graphics. As of the time of writing this comment, the game is in development and IDK what the next updates are gona be, but the problems I see now are the following:

  • The menus need a lot of work because it takes a while to figure out what each button does. I think the buttons need descriptions that tell you what they do, and effects when you hover over them or when you click on them.
  • No music or sound effets (this is most likely gonna change)
  • Finding the actual execuatable is a bit too hard with so many folders.
  • I found out by chance that there are multiple levels to each mode. You go through the levels by clicking a button, and I am not sure if there's a way to go to a new levels by simply beating them. I guess this is gonna change, but it's very easy to miss the other levels

The mode where you are a fire breathing snake that hunt other snakes is really cool. Versus mode is cool too, but it really needs to be playable with a friend, I'm guessing that on the way.

Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much for playing and the very detailed feedback! I'm definitely going to note it all down. The first 3 bullet points make a lot of sense.
The fourth bullet point is the difficult one. The ability to change levels definitely needs to be clearer, as you said. I don't remember the original snake game being beatable on the old Nokia phones. But maybe if a snake of a certain size is grown, then the user can unlock the next level (but I think most people will want to keep playing until they die, so they can record a high score). Or there could be a level select screen.
Versus mode with human opponents in local multiplayer sharing the same keyboard should be perfectly fine. My game engine doesn't support online multiplayer (but maybe in the future). I think this mode could have a character select screen (also for selecting computer / human players), then a level screen.
