So the place is weird...some may say it's strange. I really liked the atmosphere and the sound effects for sure but can this really be called a game? I could see this as the first part of a horror/narrative driven experience as a prelude to something but by itself it doesn't really have a gameplay. If seen through the lens of a prologue the setting surely has potential.

Yes, i see the idea, i thought something similar when making the game; due to time reasons i couldn't make it more complete but it being a prologue was something i wanted, however i think it is a game or a minigame because you have a task, a "penalty" for not doing it and an ending.
