A lovely dark story, i so like un-happy endings and i got my self one.
My only gripe might be the constant appearance of the character; it made me somewhat dizzy.
An idea, maybe box the game in the middle of the screen. Have Mc on the left and NPC on the right. Text box as you had it. This would allow the player to enjoy the art, and the constat pop up would not be quite so "in your face".
Or I might just not be used to such games =)
Having said that, I did enjoy it. I liked the sounds and the art.
For me, the story was my favourite aspect here.
