Monster Codex: The Demon
Demons are the main residents of the Infernal Plane, known for feeding off of the torment of the sinful. No two demons are ever alike, often having various grotesque features unique to themselves. Some demons possess wide, gaping maws while others may have goat-like heads. Some demons may even have faces on their stomachs.
The more torture a demon brings to a mortal soul, the stronger it gets. This has caused exceptionally cruel demons to become incredibly large and powerful, potentially becoming some of the greatest threats to the world at large. Their appetites have become insatiable, driving them to reap havoc on the living.
Demons are driven away by divine imagery. Hold something holy with you at all costs.
