That is not a bug, you have to start a brand new save when downloading a new update.
If it still crashes while doing that I'd love to get a screenshot of the error message to see what the problem may be :)

I see now, thank you. Also there is no error message so I can't really screenshot anything. It just freezes for a couple of seconds and then fully exits, no messages, no popups of an error, just fully exiting like if you're done playing the game for whatever reason, but by force from an error. Sorry for the late reply as well btw.
